Morning assembly and raising of the Indian flag at the Pamela M. Martinez Orphanage.
Extreme poverty can be as debilitating as a mental or physical handicap. The Pamela M. Martinez Orphanage at Pathway’s Agro-Farm houses and educates 200 children who are orphans, fatherless, or from economically destitute families.
Pamela Martinez Orphanage started in 2002 after a generous donation enabled purchase of 60 acres of farmland 90 km. outside Chennai. Now the orphanage is a fully accredited English-medium, matriculation school, enhanced with programs for arts, music, moral and spiritual values, and physical education. Graduates from the school are prepared for higher education with fluency in both English and their native Tamil. This background equips them to be community leaders in the global economy of 21st century India.
Facilities at the Pamela Martinez Orphanage are top-of-the line and include swimming, music, recreational facilities, and full medical care in a rural, eco-friendly environment. The children at the Pamela Martinez Orphanage are in need of mentors who will be able to offer love, care, and support emotionally and financially.
